Buena Vista es un vecindario residencial de la Ciudad de Miami, en el Condado de Miami-Dade, Florida, Estados Unidos, ubicado al sur de Little Haiti y al norte del Miami Design District, entre aproximadamente la NE 42nd Street y la NE 54th Street, delimitado por Biscayne Boulevard al este y la I-95 al oeste, con la I-195 marcando su borde sur. Sus orígenes se remontan a la década de 1890 como una pequeña aldea cuyo crecimiento acompañó al de Miami, y durante el boom inmobiliario de los años 1920 se consolidó con las subdivisiones Biltmore y Shadowlawn; en 1924 llegó a incorporarse brevemente como pueblo antes de ser anexado por la ciudad al año siguiente. El carácter histórico se preserva en el Buena Vista East Historic District, un sector delimitado entre NE 2nd Avenue y Miami Avenue desde NE 42nd Street hasta NE 48th Street, donde abundan casas unifamiliares de los años 1920 con estilos Mediterranean Revival, Mission, Craftsman y Art Deco, muchas construidas con coral rock y pino de Dade y rodeadas de grandes ficus y banyanes que dan sombra a calles tranquilas. Hoy el barrio combina esa herencia con la cercanía a polos creativos como Wynwood, Midtown y el propio Design District, y ha visto un resurgimiento impulsado por la actividad comercial vecina y por espacios como Upper Buena Vista, un enclave de micro boutiques y restaurantes reunidos bajo dos enormes árboles donde también destaca el “wish tree” Bohdi. Con una población que ronda los 9.000 habitantes y una elevación de unos 13 pies, Buena Vista ofrece un perfil residencial de densidad moderada, mayormente viviendas unifamiliares con entradas privadas, a pocos minutos de Downtown Miami y a unos 15-20 minutos del Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami.
